acmochi You may have heard that ravens are very smart birds, but have you ever wondered exactly how their intelligence was quantified? Well, on the summer solstice of 2022, a team of scientists attached tracking devices to several ravens and observed their activity over the next few months. The ravens eventually displayed a most curious behavior: they all got jobs at an Amason warehouse, saved up and bought smart phones, downloaded the BC app, and purchased this album. Smart birds, indeed! Fire emoji 🔥 Favorite track: Eileen Curran / The Yellow Tinker.

about

Irish Traditional Music on Mandolin, Tenor Banjo and Fiddle

Sleeve notes included with Digital Download

'Renowned Russian violin pedagogue, Leopold Auer, wrote: “art begins where technique ends.” Seán Keegan’s technical command of the mandolin affords him a platform from which to create a new artistic standard for the mandolin in Irish traditional music.'
Liam O'Connor - Director, Irish Traditional Music Archive

'This debut CD is one of the most pleasing on the ear that I’ve ever heard...a perfect companion from start to finish'
John Carty - 2003 TG4 Musician of the Year

'I find “A Bird Never Flew on One Wing” to be an incredible album. That Keegan is a superb musician is immediately apparent from its start. His playing is full of great character, carries a strong sense of invention, and he executes with sterling technique, which in combination makes him easy to listen to and appreciate.'
Dan Neely - The Irish Echo
